The branching storyline created exclusively for Nintendo DS systems allows players to fight on the side of good or evil for the first time in the series as the evil "Hollows" have finally found a way to infiltrate Soul Society.

Featuring multiplayer battles with new personalization options and 4-player online battles, players can now display an icon they created, send messages to friends, and hold online events. Returning characters can now inflict massive damage with additional moves, including new Bankai moves taken directly from the TV series.
