"The Last WWII FPS Game Of The franchise"

A year after the huge succes that was WWII FPS Call Of Duty 2,Call Of Duty 3 comes out.The third of the WWII shooters serie ressembles largely the second title of the series but with improvements and failures but still remains a fairly great game overral. It doesn`t really invent or revolutionnizes anything in the FPS domain but its mostly good,if you liked the other editions of COD,you are likely to get into this game and enjoy it.
COD 3 ressebles COD 2 in many ways, some people actually said that it was more of an expension pack than an actual game, while i don`t think its bad at that point it doesn`t really do anything new except adding new gameplay elements that don`t really add much to the game, maybe except the ability to now hit your foe with your gun if you click the analog(its gulity pleasure garenteed to give you satisfaction!).
What is different however are the levels wich are now bigger and better texturized than ever and the graphics are way better than the previous COD!Those are actually of the best graphics seen on the XBOX 360 so far. Some levels of single player are fun like the one where you get to ride the army car,the controls and everything make that part so fun!All levels are pretty good but much like the other COD its repetitive as you shoot, shoot, kill, kill but ain`t that what the game is about?Yes and its very fun actually.
The FPS shooter controls and gameplay are as good as COD 2 and even if it ressembles the previous its still really fun and addictive, why change a winning formula?Very well executed from that point.Yet the WWII FPS shooter formula is old by the time the game was out, making it less of a big seller than the previous COD.If you liked the second COD you will also like this one.
Online is still pretty good and enjoyable,a very good game online.Multiplayer however is not as good as online because the areas are really big and i found myself playing hide and seek more than COD 3 to find my friend and possibly kill him, online is great tough as you can play with many people at the same time.
The WWII games are old and history now and the company producing them knows that as COD 4 will be a total change for the COD it will leave its WWII roots and for a more recent storyline and a different game form the COD franchise but you can still expect to see the FPS roots in COD 4.
Overral it might not be as good as COD 2 but still very solid and fun, mission aren`t that bad and online is pretty decent but still i would recommend COD2 over this second sequel.
Too much hype

I really don't see where all the hype is coming from.
The single player part of the game is very average. All you do in the game is charge, charge and charge. Rushing from one place to another killing whoever is in your way, provided you get different weapons of course. Very not tacticle. Not much strategy involved/required on the player's part(not counting online play).
Although linear, you do get a realistic feeling of being a soldier, thrown into battle. Rushing from one place to another having to endure the terrifying close quarter melee combat, etc.
