Truly an amazing, immersive experience!

5.0 / 5.0

Gaming was soon reaching the end of the line for me, before this magnificient remote was introduced. Never before have I considered the possibilities of motion control in video games. One step closer to true virtual reality, the mighty "WiiMote" can be held in your hand like a TV remote, and deftly becomes your sword, your paintbrush, your wand, your tennis racket, baseball bat, or golf club! Turn it sideways and it quickly becomes a configuration you know and love, it becomes your typical game pad, or with motion control technology, even a steering wheel that responds to you turning it like an actual wheel!

The Wii Remote is easily the breakthrough of the video game world! My own parents, having not touched videogames in 10 to 12 years, are as we speak enjoying playing tennis, or bowling, or even boxing, all from the comfort of our living room.

I highly recommend trying the amazing intuitiveness of the wii remote, and if you enjoy it, pick up a wii at your local retailers! You won't soon regret it!

Great fun

5.0 / 5.0

The Wii remote is definitely different. You get great interaction with your video games with the remote.
Simulating motions such as you would in tennis, golf, baseball, bowling. Even more fun if you are wielding a sword.
I will say this..I have not had the controller leave my hand during gameplay. But I have been so immersed
in the game that I will creep forward towards the t.v and the sensor for the remote. So every now and then I have to move back.
I don't have to over extend my motions when swinging etc. Therefore I have not experienced sore shoulders or anything else first reported when the Wii came out.
What I have experienced is a new way to interact with videogames. Even my husband who is not too much into videogames will play more games now. He doesn't have to learn button pressing combos.
I own and have owned other consoles, the ps2 is still in the house, so I am new to Nintendo and all its products and games. Now in our house I wait to game with my husband as it is more fun with another. :P

Great controller but keep an hold on it

5.0 / 5.0

The Wii Mote is a great controller. The base of the Nintendo Wii system. It is wireless and it can act like all kind of things like a baseball bat, steering wheel, golfstick and much much more.

You can connect the classic controller and the nunchuck to this controller for even more game pleasure.

Just be careful that keep it tight so that it doesn't fly away when you are playing a game!

Outcry Developer: Phantomery Interactive Publisher: The Adventure Company Genre: Adventure Release Date: 09/03/2008 Russia puts out some weird surreal video games. It’s one of the reasons I love them so. A few years ago I imported Pathologic and it still remains the freakiest most f’d up game I have ever played. Although it’s never come to North America, you can download it through Gamer’s Gate. Ever since then, I’ve paid close attention to what’s being developed in the remnants of the for

Spore Released Today

After six years of production, Spore, the highly anticipated PC game from EA Sports (also to be available for the iPhone and Nintendo DS), has finally been released. Dubbed “The Year’s Most Anticipated PC Game” by PC World, Spore has been down a roller-coaster of release dates and delays. Today, however, is the day people scramble for their email purchase downloads and run out to gaming stores across the nation. But why? Why are people so excited about it? A quick blog post is not merely enoug

out-of-home video viewing

If the big screen makes movie theaters, then movie theaters aren't likely to prosper in the future. Movie theater screens could be much larger and much higher resolution than they are today. However, in-home television screens have been rapidly growing in size and picture quality. The binding constraint, with rapid technological progress and relatively high incomes, is probably subjective: subjective screen size and image resolution depends greatly on the viewer's seating position (see full cal

PSN Store Update (US) 05/09/08

As usual the US PSN store update has more substance to it than its EU counter-part. It’s still not great though, unless you have an interest in Qore. Saying that, this month’s Qore gives subscribers access to the Motor Storm 2: Pacific Rift demo. However, I’m sure the demo will be made available over the next two weeks so don’t just buy it for that. Also featured this week is the same Pure demo from the EU store, along with the Haze “Destruction” add-on content. The pack introduces 7 new multi
