Customer Reviews
Unlimited saga is ok.

Made by square enix, this game surprised me. It has a reel system for many actions - which I heard of and why I was interested in it. This requires timing to get certain benefits or to achieve certain actions. The reel system has flaws, because it is not difficult enough. While the game itself has a very HIGH difficulty and is not recommended for beginning gamers. Probably one of the reasons it doesn't do well. The whole reason for getting the game is either the reel system or the music.
The game design is incredible, with it's original music and post-adventure leveling system (you have to pass the level to get stuff). Although, you can perform interim saves to reduce the difficulty of the game overall. The lack of video content makes the plot seem more like a book then a video game, which adds a cheap lustrious style to the game plotlines.
In conclusion, not the best "saga" game ever. But it's original reflex timing system and popular music, and the simple presence of in-depth plot, give it a ok review. $25/$15 for a mint/used is fair.
worst rpg ever

Don't bother to know what it is. I bought it at around $10. Worst than the Final Fantasy's series. Worst than the Dark Cloud series. Worst than the Star Ocean's series. "Something" that should have never seen the light. Not even worth 1 star (but is required to put at least 1).
If you think Final Fantasy represents true RPGs, don't apply

First and foremost. If you believe Final Fantasy truly represents what an RPG is, then save yourself the frustation, the rest of us the complaints, and don't buy this game.
I won't go into a review, there's enough positive ones from people who actually "got" the game. It's partially Square Enix's fault though. They produce one the most infamous RPGs for casual players called Final Fantasy that anything else coming from them with as much depth as U-Saga gets immediately bashed because of its more complex nature.
This game does not live off of FMV; does not have flashy battle sequences; involve little tide-me-over mini games. What the game has is something a little more complex that people like me have been waiting for. All I'm asking is the following:
If you ONLY play Final Fantasy RPGs, then stay away from U-Saga. It is NOT for you.
Huh?

When you first start playing, two things will enter your head 1) What's up with the...graphics? and 2) Hu-du wha???
1) Pretty soon you won't notice the graphics because you'll be too occupied trying to stay alive
2) I know, the game is extremely confusing! Don't worry though, after you read some stuff... you'll understand better, plus after you practice you'll learn to love the system of the game.
Stick with it, and the game will become unbelievably fun!
Possibly one of the worst games Square put their name on!

This game looks good on the outside, but i wasted $...on it. Don't get me wrong, I love Square's work, but this game holds none of the magic of its counterparts. The battle system is confusing and over complicated, and special commands are controlled by a randomizer, go figure. There are no free roaming beautiful landscapes or 3D characters, just a bunch of 2D drawings that you move your character (represented by a pewter like statuette) on a board-game like surface. Bottom line...save your cash for FFX-2.
