A TOTALLY HOT RACING GAME!!!

NFSPU was my first GBA game I have got. I just love the graphics of the racing games that Game Boy Advanced put out like Mario Kart Super Circuit, Need for speed Underground, ect.
If you like the Need for speed series then buy it now. It is a really good game and I really liked it.
Not bad

The graphics in this game are on a par with those in Need for Speed Underground for the GBA. Which means that the 3D objects are all very blocky and blurry, but they move fluidly enough. The gameplay is alright, but I found NFSU more fun. The feeling of real speed seems to be missing from this one. Also, the invisible walls on side of some of the tracks drive me crazy.
The in-car "cockpit" view is a nice touch, along with the ability to use the shoulder buttons to look to the left, right, and behind to see the cars around you. But you lose the look-around capability if you opt for manual transmission, which requires the shoulder buttons for shifting. You can also switch to the typical behind-the-car view.
I read somewhere that NFSPU was based on (or used the same engine as) one of the V-Rally games. I don't remember the details, or know how true that is. But the nicest graphics I have seen to date on the GBA were in V-Rally 3. Unfortunately, the gameplay in V-Rally 3 kind of sucked. NFSPU does not look as good as V-Rally 3, but the gameplay is a bit better.
There are far worse racing games for the GBA than this one. But this one is not the best. Overall, I still prefer NFSU.
