Description

While exploring some ancient ruins on a forbidden island off the coast, Jak's best friend, Daxter, is knocked into a vat of Dark Eco--a terrifying and deadly substance that could corrupt the world forever--transforming him into a weasel-like rodent. The village sage, Samos Hagai, tells Jak that there's only one person who holds the secrets to transforming Daxter back. Now the pair must set out on a quest in search of a wise old sage who has the power to restore Daxter to his former self.

Plunge into a world of adventure, exploration, and discovery. Embark on a magical, often harrowing journey that challenges gamers to test their wits and skills, allowing them to discover twisted plots and battle the evil within. Delivering nothing but the best ingredients for a game that's set to be one of the biggest titles of the year, Jak and Daxter features great character designs and animations, innovative gameplay mechanics, superior technology, and absolutely stunning graphics. Jak and Daxter pushes the power of the PlayStation2, offering an engaging, immersive entertainment experience that stretches the imagination.

Customer Reviews

It should be called, "Jak and Daxter and the Power Cell Collect-a-thon"

2.0 / 5.0

"Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy" is boring, short, and hardly has any variety. The tasks are forced, traveling is slow as hell and it is actually easy to get lost in the huge world. The main plot forces you to collect loads of precursor orbs and power cells scattered across the generic lava, ice, swamp and forest levels. Then you'll come across a few bosses that, once defeated, give you access to the other areas to collect more orbs and cells. The graphics are zippy, but it was released back in 2001 so that's understandable. The game is very similar to Crash, as you have your spin attack and mute character. Four hitpoints, and lots of jumping do declare this as a platformer, just not a very good one. I didn't have any fun with this title.

Good, not Great

4.0 / 5.0

This game is positively without doubt THE best game out on the ps2 console for the price you pay. Don't pay $$ for games like Enter the Matrix and stuff, buy this game. This game is highly recommended, it will keep you busy for hours with its stunning graphics, great story, and fairly good story. Apart from being slightly repetitive, it is a great game. And the setting changes so much, that you hardly know the repetitiveness (of collecting power cells).

Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Zombies Ate My Neighbors one one heck of a great game. Supported by both the SNES and Genesis (Mega Drive for our friends in the U.K.), Zombies was a blast for just about any kid who picked up the paddle back in the 90's. The game itself features countless stages, wild enemies, a host of bizarre everyday weapons and a really great birds eye view angle to absorb all of the action. One of my favorite features about this game is the sound effects and creepy music. There is nothing quite as good as
