Buck Rogers : Countdown to Doomsday

5.0 / 5.0

Buck Rogers : Countdown to Doomsday was based on the engine of the old SSI Dungeons and Dragons Goldbox games and is a really fun sci-fi RPG. It's not really based on the Tv series in the 80s but more the classic Buck Rogers mixed a bit with the novels but a bit more modernized too. In it you can build your own character with skills, stats and special abilities from a number of races including Human. In this version you only start with one character but gain allies and NPCs to help you out throughout the game. It'a great game and i remember planying it from beginning to end and having lots of fun playing it. It's a great addition to any Genesis RPG collection even though it's sci-fi and most RPGS are fantasy based!!

Days Like Today

Days Like Today Posted by Heather on Dec 23, 2008 in Family, Homeschooling Not a good day today.  Flipper flipped out.  I really don’t know if it’s ADHD or SPD or just bad attitude.  Check that, I know it’s more than just a bad attitude.  Some days I have infinite patience, other days - like this day - I just can’t take it. He spent most of the day trying to take over the TV so he could play video games.  “But I haven’t played ALL DAAAAAAAAAAAY!!”  Like it’s somehow unfair that occasionally

ReSolve, the appointed administrator of Free Radical, has told Edge that there has already been a “significant interest” shown in the purchase of this video game developer. Free Radical was just officially placed into administration just a few hours after they refused entry to staff members. A number of companies were in Free Radical’s home city of Nottingham yesterday to say there goodbyes as “well over 100” people left the group. Realtime Worlds, Codemasters, Monumental and Eurocom were

We only get 1 game this update(what a surprise….) But the shocking part is that is is not a first party Nintendo game. So no Earthbound or kirby dreamland. However we do get a game that people have been wanting for a while. Some say its one of the best RPGs ever. Its: Sega Genesis Phantasy Star IV (800 pts) Ive never been a big fan of the phantasy star games, but i have always heard good things about the series especially this one. Maybe i will try it out.Â* As for WiiWare we get Tiki Tower

Eat Sleep Play (Interview)

Interview with Jaffe and Campbell, founders of Eat Sleep Play. Covers a wide variety of topics. God of War 3, platform exclusivity, future projects, closing studios, among others. Interesting tidbit: Quote: Again, Scott had plenty to say concerning this topic, but it’s stuff they wish to keep under wraps right now. We can tell you a few things he said: first of all, they’re using the Warhawk engine as the basis for the game. This makes sense, of course, as Warhawk was an Incognito title.
